Welcome to Anna Maria College’s Strategic Planning Site. This site will provide an array of information and documents that the Strategic Planning Committee has reviewed and used as part of the deliberative process. I want to thank the college community for being active in many venues that support and inform this important initiative. The response rates to the survey were outstanding as well as the participation in the focus groups. Also, thank you to the Steering Committee for keeping the promise I made to the community at the beginning; that the process will be inclusive, transparent and data-driven. In late spring 2016, President Mary Lou Retelle, with the collaboration of her senior administrative team, academic leadership, and Board of Trustees, launched a comprehensive institutional planning program for Anna Maria College. This integrated strategic planning and brand development initiative seeks to set forth a clear and cogent vision for Anna Maria’s future, extend its mission, core values, and founding charisms, enhance its brand and the impact of its educational value, strengthen its competitive and marketing capacities, and elevate its reputation.
This planning program will yield a coherent Enterprise Strategy that charts Anna Maria’s strategic direction, addressing how the College will strengthen and expand its educational value and impact for its students and stakeholder, and delineating the key design themes for planning operational strategies for program, market, resource, and brand development.
