Each residence hall provides a unique on-campus living experience. Numerous programs and activities are presented throughout the semester by our energetic, dedicated Residence Life staff. Residence Life allows Anna Maria students to build lasting friendships and memories within an environment that fosters diversity, leadership and opportunities.
Residence life at Anna Maria College is guided by our philosophy:

Housing Processes
Anna Maria College provides housing for full-time undergraduate and graduate students. Any questions regarding Housing Processes should be directed to the Office of Residence Life & Student Conduct.
First-Year and Transfer Housing Application
We are so excited to welcome our incoming students to live on-campus and in the residence halls! Once deposited, students can complete the Residence Life Housing Application and Agreement.
New students joining us for the Fall 2024 semester should complete their Housing Application no later than July 15, 2024. On the application students can pick their meal plan, share information that will help us pair you with a roommate, and indicate if they have a preferred roommate. Housing assignments and roommate information will be sent to all incoming students via their AMC email accounts, no later than Friday, August 2, 2024.
We recommend new students review this packing list to assist with items that you will need as you plan to move-on campus this Fall. Be on the lookout via emails to your AMCAT account about preparing for move-in and arriving to your home away from home!
Upperclass Housing Lottery and Selection
The 2024 – 2025 Housing Selection & Lottery Process has now concluded for upperclass students. If you are a returning student interested in living on campus for the 2024 – 2025 academic year, please email us at reslife@annamaria.edu to fill out the Returning Student Housing Application & Agreement. The 2025 – 2026 Housing Selection & Lottery Process will launch at the start of the Spring 2025 semester.
Withdrawal from Housing
Students interested in cancelling their Housing Agreement can email the Office of Residence Life at reslife@annamaria.edu to request a meeting to discuss this withdrawal. Following the meeting, students will be provided the link to the formal Housing Withdrawal Form.
Please note that the room deposit is refundable as a credit to the student’s Anna Maria College Student Account through May 1 and is non-refundable after May 1. Prefer to the Housing Application & Agreement for more information regarding fees and deadlines
Information on Medical Accommodations
All requests for emotional support animals must be submitted to Health & Counseling Services by January 5 for the spring semester, by June 30 for current returning students for the fall semester, and by July 31 for incoming first-year and transfer students for the fall semester. It may take up to 5 business days to review and respond to requests. Bringing an emotional support animal to campus is a two-step process and students must receive formal approval from both Health & Counseling Services and the Office of Residence Life before the animal is brought to campus. Once you are cleared by Health & Counseling Services, students will receive notification allowing them to complete the Residence Life ESA Accommodations Form and set up an ESA Entrance Meeting with a Residence Life Staff Member.
All other requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis as they are submitted to Health & Counseling Services.
Students partaking in the 2024 – 2025 Returning Student Housing Selection and would like to be placed based on an approved medical single room accommodation should pay special attention to the dates below:
· February 1, 2024 – Due date for current students with existing approved housing accommodations to submit annual renewal request to continue housing accommodations for the 2024 – 2025 academic year.
· February 1, 2024 – Due date for current students to request housing accommodations for the first time for the 2024 – 2025 academic year.
· February 28, 2024 – Housing Accommodations Lottery Form due. If a student has an approved single room medical accommodation, they will be sent this form directly to their AMCAT email by the Office of Residence Life & Student Conduct.

Off-Campus Housing Information
Anna Maria College provides off campus housing information to students as a courtesy service. Anna Maria is not responsible for leases or other contracts between students and landlords or for the consequences of any off-campus student housing arrangement. The Anna Maria College resident halls are not equipped to handle families and children.
Anna Maria college cannot be involved in any negotiations between you (the leaseholder) and any landlord, property owner, student, prospective student or realtor before, during or after any agreement. In addition, Anna Maria does not endorse or sponsor, nor does it investigate or verify, any of the agencies, information, services, advertisements, properties, or landlords included in this website. Please be advised that apartments are listed to rent for three or less individuals. (This limitation is not intended to restrict occupancy by more than three persons who are related family members.) The reason for this is that the City of Worcester has been enforcing a “lodging house” ordinance that prohibits more than three unrelated people from living together. It has been the City of Worcester’s position that if you have more than three unrelated people AND the land owner does not have a “lodging house” license (most do not have the license) you are living in an illegal apartment and subject to Worcester Code Enforcement action.

Getting Involved in the Residence Halls
The Office of Residence Life & Student Conduct offers a variety of leadership and student employment opportunities for students to get involved on-campus, grow their leadership skills, and build community. Student leadership and involvement contributes to a strong positive residential community.
Resident Assistants (RAs) are undergraduate live-in student leaders that are responsible for promoting a strong, inclusive community and facilitating various programming and community building initiatives. RAs play an integral role in establishing a community that is conducive to maximizing academic, personal and social development, and maintaining a healthy and safe living environment.
RAs report directly to graduate and full-time Resident Directors. RA Hiring and Selection for the upcoming academic year begins during the Spring semester and students should be on the lookout during the Fall semester for more information regarding the application and interview process.
The Residence Hall Association is a resident-led organization on-campus that helps to promote community and advocacy for the residential community. The Residence Hall Association has a budget through the Student Government Association for various initiatives, on-campus events, and more! During the first few weeks of the semester, be on the lookout for emails and flyers on how to get involved! You can also reach out to our office at reslife@annamaria.edu for more information.
Residence Halls
Alumni & Coghlin Hall
Alumni and Coghlin Halls house upper-class residents in a mix of single and double rooms. Coghlin Hall features air conditioning with individual room controls. The two buildings share numerous large common areas as well as a kitchen and laundry room
Madonna Hall
Madonna Hall is centrally located in the middle of campus across from Foundress Hall and is the biggest residence hall, housing over 300 students. It’s a multilevel building with four wings; Mondor, O’Leary, Eagen, and Duggan. There are double rooms, triple rooms with a lofted bed, quad rooms, and suites, which have two rooms with a full bath.
St. Anne Hall
St. Anne Hall houses 200 students in a state-of-the-art, suite-style setting. The 63,000 square-foot Hall is comprised of three floors with two residential halls per wing. Common areas are located in the central core and include lounges, laundry rooms, study rooms, a kitchen, a resident director’s office, a workroom, lobbies, a central staircase, and an elevator. St. Anne Hall has 35 student suites with 63 double rooms and 69 single rooms.
South Hall
Opened In August 2008, South Hall is air-conditioned and offers a mix of double and single rooms. The large main lounge has a flat screen television, kitchenette and plenty of room for group study or group activities.
