We’re a proud participant in the Post-9/11 GI Bill® Yellow Ribbon Program. As such, we offer qualified veterans tuition assistance of up to $5,000 per academic year through the Yellow Ribbon GI Education Enhancement Program. Anna Maria College’s financial commitment—combined with government allowances—enables eligible veterans to cover the full cost of tuition, fees, and books in any College degree program. This is in addition to the scholarship/grant funding that most on-ground students receive that varies from $17,500 to $22,500 per student.

Under S2248 PL 115-407 Section 103, Anna Maria College will not impose a late fee, denial of access to facilities, or other penalty against a veteran or eligible dependent due to a late payment of tuition and/or fees from the VA up to the certified benefits amount. Any portion of the balance not covered by VA benefits is still expected to be settled by the due date.

If you are admitted, the enrollment response deadline will be in your acceptance letter. Undergraduate applicants who have completed military courses should have an official Joint Service Transcript (JST) sent to Anna Maria College for review by the Office of Undergraduate Admission.

Transfer credit will be considered for courses which have American Council on Education (ACE) credit recommendations and will apply to the curriculum at Anna Maria College. If you are approved for credit, a transfer credit evaluation will be sent to you.

Graduate Students
Graduate program applicants who have completed military coursework should have official transcripts sent to the Anna Maria College Office of Graduate Admission. These documents will be used in our admission decision as well as for consideration of any possible course waivers, as applicable, for courses which have ACE credit recommendations.

As outlined in Section 487(a)(20) of the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended by the Higher Education Amendments of 1992, Anna Maria College fully complies with the regulation that bans colleges from paying commissions, bonuses or other forms of incentive compensation based directly or indirectly on success in securing enrollments or financial aid. This restriction is included in the program participation agreement for institutional eligibility for federal student aid funds available through Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 and applies to all colleges, including public, non-profit and for-profit colleges. Anna Maria College successfully renewed its Title IV funding application in July of 2019. The Department of Education granted the college authorization to award Title IV funding through June 2029.  Anna Maria College refrains from providing any commission, bonus, or other incentive payment based directly or indirectly on securing enrollments or federal financial aid (including Tuition Assistance funds) to any persons or entities engaged in any student recruiting, admission activities, or making decisions regarding the award of student financial assistance.

Additionally, Anna Maria College refrains from high-pressure recruitment tactics such as making multiple unsolicited contacts (3 or more), including contacts by phone, email, or in-person, and engaging in same-day recruitment and registration for the purpose of securing service member enrollments.

Service members requesting Tuition Assistance must speak with their Educational Service Officer to determine their tuition assistance benefits and receive guidance prior to enrolling at Anna Maria College.

The majority of military benefit programs are not built to outright finance your education. The only exception could be the Post-9/11 GI Bill®, also known as the “Yellow Ribbon Program,” which pays you the lower of either the actual tuition and fees or the national maximum per year for a private school like Anna Maria College (Anna Maria is committed to enabling eligible veterans to cover the full cost of tuition, fees, and books in any College degree program.)
